Advertising can range from dirt cheap to downright expensive. Here are a few things you can do to maximize your ad coverage using some free methods.
1. Place flyers or posters on local bulletin boards that you might find at coin-op laundry facilities, shopping malls, grocery stores, clinics, etc. Lots of shopping occurs on Fridays and Saturdays so you may want to focus on that timeframe.
2. Sometime newspapers have leftover space that needs filling. Give them a call to find out if this is the case sometimes you can get space for free.
3. Place pamphlets or leaflets on windshields in parking lots. Better yet, get your kids or nieces and nephews to do it, it may only cost you an ice cream cone.
4. Leave business materials at doorsteps of homes and businesses. On weekends for homes, weekdays for businesses.
5. Have your best producing small newspaper ads made into a rubber stamp and stamp all outgoing mail.
6. Have printed envelopes include an ad just below your return address.
7. Contact others that use flyers or circulars and see if they will trade ads.
8. Some publishers may give you free ad space for mailing out some of their publications.
9. Write articles for other publications. Some publishers will give you free ad space for use of your articles.
10. Watch out for ad deal such as 2 for the price of 1 deals that might be offered by any publisher.
11. Start mailing. Get your printers lowest price for printing on both sides of your flyer. Tell your clients this price and start mailing their flyers with you ad on the back.
12. E-mail signature. Have your ad at the bottom of every e-mail you send out.
These are just a few of the things you can do to maximize your free advertising. There are countless other methods. Try to come up with a few of your own. All it takes is a little imagination and innovation.
