Are the message boards, e-mail discussion lists or classifieds ads sites places where you post your messages? Well you need to know that people read the subject line first and after they decide whether to read the rest of the message or not. That’s why you need to make it attractive and eye catching so that you will increase the chances that your ad will be fully viewed.

To make it happen you can do following:

1.Use white space smartly in the subject line. You can add some extra blank spaces between words or letters to make it more eye catching and easier to read.

2.Another thing you can do is to combine capital letters with lower case letters. For instance you can use capital letters in every other word or between every other lower case letter. This way your subject will drag more attention.

3.Dress up you subject line with the various symbols at the beginning and end of your subject. You may also want to include the symbols between letters or words.

The symbols may be for instance (*, , $, &)

4.You can try to begin your subject line with the word “STOP!”. People usually have been trained their whole life to respect this sign so that it will do also great job for your subject.

5.Asking people a question in your subject line is also a good idea to provoke them to view your ad even for the sake of the answer they may have for it.

6. Using the word “FREE” is also a good idea for attracting more people, because they like free stuff. When people see they can get something for free it’s usually more attractive. That’s why this word is used so often and it’s strongly recommended to become a part of as many subject lines as possible.

7. Another trick is to use an “smiley:)” in your subject line. This way you can earn people’s trust and they will be more happy to view your ad. This simple idea of giving a little bit o humor to your message can make a huge impact to your campaign and this is what “the online smile:)” can be used for.

8. Don’t use claims in your ad that are unbelievable. People are smart and many of them have been ripped so many times that they don’t believe in those claims anyway. Try to sound honest in your ad instead. People appreciate it when they see the message that sounds reliable and will be more willing to read it.

9. Using all capital letters is bad idea. The ad composed like that looks unprofessional and spammy. It’s also quite often rejected by moderators so you don’t want it happen to your ad.

10. Experiment with different subject lines to check which ones drive most traffic and eventually modify them to bring in even more people to view your ad.

Remember that experimenting is quite important in promoting your ads. You should try to come up with a few and select the most effective ones. It’s all about testing solutions mentioned above to make your messages perform better and generate more sales.
