Promotional Goods Versus Advertising
October 20th, 2007 Filed under: Uncategorized — Advertising AuthorPromotional goods such as keyrings, pens, bags, caps, mouse mats, mugs, glasses and umbrellas can be more effective than media advertising in a number of ways.
Branded promotional goods get your message and business name across day after day.
Everyone at work has an array of branded items around them. Look around your workplace and count how many you can see. Mouse mats? Mugs? Coasters? Pens? Your boss’s gym bag? Now imagine your company branding dotted around someone else’s’ workplace, your sales message being delivered throughout each and every day, rather than just glossed over occasionally in a newspaper or magazine advert.
Advertising aims to attract attention to a product or business. Promotional goods allow you to advertise all day every day without the huge financial investment needed for a media campaign.
Radio and television advertising is highly expensive and beyond the reach of many businesses. Press advertising isn’t quite as expensive, but how much would you have to spend to advertise in the press every day? Promotional goods expose your business all day every day and can be very affordable. There is a wide range available to suit all budgets.
Promotional goods are designed to increase recognition of a company’s name and product. Your business name, logo and sales message can be applied to a variety of items, such as caps, gym bags, keyrings and even sweets and drinks.
Many companies are successful in boosting brand recognition and sales through promotional goods as opposed to media advertising. They allow you to advertise day in, day out at a fraction of the cost of media advertising.

You hit the nail on the head with promotional goods. Advertising is very expensive, the best solution and one which I would recommend reviewing in any business big or small is promotional products. I think there is a misconception out there that these have to be expensive, they don’t.. it could just be pens for your staff and clients.
